Kaizen

Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning continuous improvement. Adopting a growth mindset means good design (& a good life) never settles for complacency or mediocrity, and strives to achieve greater results, always.

The Human User

The word "user" shouldn't be synonymous to human: the real entity being impacted by the design. Empathy is a powerful tool to understand emotion, behaviours and thoughts and translate this into design.

Creativity & Collaboration

Instead of 2 minds think alike, I find it insightful & exciting to work in environments where many minds can express different ideas, embracing diverse & innovative perspectives to inform good design decisions.

Adaptation

A good designer is a friend to all ~ they can be flexible in diverse environments, work with different people, and adapt the design process for each task considering all the project factors involved.

I'm a creator at heart. I've always been fascinated with being involved in the end-to-end experience of bringing a product to life, helping solve small, everyday burdens or taking the challenge to address complex issues to ensure positive impact for humans, communities and businesses. Always interested in new tech, ways to enhance current design practices and help equalise communities.

Alongside being a full-time design student, here are some of my side quests:

A content creator with over 90,000 followers across platforms, helping promote products for small tech startups or large corporations.

A HSC tutor for Advanced English students. I've loved learning & like sharing knowledge just as much.

A small business owner, creating and designing digital products & helping 1300+ users stay productive.

I've volunteered as an executive at 2 university societies for designers (SUEDE) and tech enthusiasts (GDSC USYD).

Although I'm on the grind 90% of the time, in my free time you'll see me exploring new cafés 🍰, re-organising my desk 🎀, collecting trinkets 🍡, streaming BTS music videos 💜, taking photos 📷, or spending quality time with family and friends 🪷.
